EDUC 3310 - Foundations of English as a Second Language

Investigation of the foundations of English as a Second Language (ESL) education and factors that contribute to multicultural/multilingual learning environments. Topics will include: basic fundamental language concepts, first and second language acquisition processes, ESL language policies, program models, and an overview of assessments. Field experience required.
