Explore standards-based curriculum design with the alignment of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) to objective, learning experiences, and assessments through the development of lesson plans. Use of research-based teaching strategies, developmentally and culturally sustaining teaching methodologies and pedagogies. Curricular development models include: 5E, Backward Design, Direct Teach and Cooperative Learning as instructional methods with emphasis on reading and writing across the curriculum and technology of 25 hours of Field Experience required.
