Applies the theory by tracking health care legislation in progress at the national, state and local levels. Considers key federal legislation such as the Balanced Budget Act for implications in the delivery of health care in the U.S. Analyzes trends in policy-making so as to forecast future legislative initiatives that may impact the design of delivery of health care in the U.S. Considers how to influence policy development at the local, state and national level. Applies concepts and techniques that can affect short-term and long-term program strategic planning in health services delivery systems.
