Overview of the most commonly used diagnostic and classification systems in mental health, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD). Emphasis on the use of diagnoses to facilitate change in counseling and case conceptualization that includes context, culture, and development. Practice with the administration of mental status exams. Review of commonly used psychopharmacological medications.
