SOWK 9300 - Intro to Doctoral Education 3 hrs Introduction to Doctoral Education course prepares students to demonstrate doctoral expectations for writing and critical thinking. The purpose of this course is to introduce social work doctoral students to the diversity of topics and methods pursued by researchers and academicians in social work education and allied fields. Topics covered are broad and include information that facilitates the learning of research methods and the development of knowledge and skills needed to participate in the PhD program and within a community of scholars. (Includes week on-site in San Antonio) Offered: Summer.
