BIOL 1401 - General Biology I

Life processes as they occur in all living organisms, concentrating on the chemical and cellular basis of life. Includes metabolic activities, molecular and cellular principles of inheritance and microevolution. This course is accepted as partial fulfillment of the General Education Science requirement. Six lecture or laboratory hours per week.
Consent of instructor required for non-science majors or minors. Completion of algebra and English requirements or satisfactory score on admission or placement assessment.
