BIOL 1410 - Environmental Science and Sustainability 4 hour(s) Interdisciplinary study of interactions between humans and the environment, emphasizing scientific principles as the basis for understanding environmental issues involving living organisms, air, land, and water; includes ecology of populations and ecosystems, impacts of agricultural and urban development, use of natural resources and energy, and issues of sustainability pollution, and global climate change. This course does not count toward biology major or minor. Six lecture or laboratory hours per week. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Repeatable for credit: No Prerequisite: Students with SAT verbal scores below 500 (ACT English below 18) must have completed ENGL 1313 with a C or better.
