PSYC 4311 - Latino Psychology (in Spanish) 3 hour(s) Overview of historical foundations of contemporary Latino psychologies and current state of knowledge in Latino psychology research and practice. Emphasis on issues such as acculturative stress, oppression and discrimination, culture-bound values, ethnicity and ethnic identity development, and gender issues. Students will examine personal attitudes, experiences, and beliefs as they relate to the competent and ethical delivery of services to Latino populations.
