The poster and mural art of the “Chicanx Movement” illustrates history of ethnic empowerment and protest among Americans of Mexican descent beginning in the 1960s. Once considered derogatory, by the 1960s young Mexican Americans embraced the identifier with pride in ones’ Mexican and Native heritage and displayed it tough their art. Experiential learning component may be part of this course. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Is this course repeatable for credit? No Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. Fee: $ 45 Offered: As Needed.
