POLS 4337 - U.S. Campaigns and Elections 3 hour(s) Understanding the nature of elections in the United States – who administers elections, what laws govern conduct during elections, and how the ways we decide election winners shape other elements of politics. Examining the various strategies political campaigns use to mobilize voters and shape their choices, with a focus on national congressional elections and presidential elections. Topics discussed include vote suppression, redistricting and gerrymandering, and campaign finance. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Is this course repeatable for credit? No Offered: As Needed.
