The primary purpose of the Communication Sciences and Disorders minor is to provide students majoring in a variety of areas with knowledge about how children and adults communicate. The minor will also provide students with strategies to communicate more effectively with children and adults who were born with communication challenges or who acquired communication challenges due to disease or accidents. The knowledge and skills obtained will enhance the student’s preparation for employment in educational settings, allied health settings, medical settings, business settings and other settings that benefit from employees with effective communication skills. The Woolfolk School CSD minor consists of six courses, 17 credits, which are completed during the fall and spring semesters of the junior and senior years.
