Finance is a discipline that investigates the way in which individuals, households, societies, businesses, and governments allocate scarce resources (e.g., money, capital, debt) and how those resources are utilized to produce goods, services and measurable value. Alternative funding sources requires a choice among competing alternatives; a dynamic that is examined and measured within the framework of financial analysis. he Certificate in Financial Analysis curriculum at OLLU will provide students with entry and second-level expertise into several areas of applied finance. This includes but is not limited to: corporate finance, financial institutions, financial analysis, risk and insurance as well as other topics–each of which are applicable to a variety fields and organizational forms.
The certificate in Financial Analysis is a non-degree program for professionals that need financial analysis skills and tools for application at their work or for those who want to add to their value.
The requirements to receive this graduate certificate as a non-degree seeking student are:
Complete 15 hours consisting of five courses. All courses must be completed at OLLU; no course will be allowed to be transferred in for the certificate program.
