Accelerated BBA-ACCT to MBA, MS BUSA, MSFA, MS NPMT, MSOL

Undergraduate students may earn credit toward the following degrees while completing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting (ACCT) through the Business Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s (ABM) degree program: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Business Analytics (MS BUSA), Master of Science in Financial Analysis (MSFA), Master of Science in Nonprofit Management (MS NPMT), and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). Students accepted into the Business ABM program will be eligible to take up to two courses (six credit hours) from the list of courses below concurrently with their undergraduate courses, depending on the particular graduate program. These two courses will count toward both the aforementioned graduate degree(s) and the advanced business-related course requirement in the undergraduate ACCT degree. The graduate courses also allow undergraduate students to build specific career-oriented focus areas that expand on advanced undergraduate course work.

Students in the Business Accelerated Bachelor-to-Master (ABM) degree program must adhere to the following admission requirements, deadlines, and specific program restrictions:

Admission Requirements

  1. Current OLLU student
  2. Overall GPA: 3.0 at time of application, prior to enrolling in first graduate course, and in semesters in which enrolled in graduate courses while an undergraduate student
  3. GPA in major: 3.0 at time of application, prior to enrolling in first graduate course, and in semesters in which enrolled in graduate courses while an undergraduate student
  4. At time of application, completed 75 or more credit hours that apply to a BBA in ACCT undergraduate degree with grades of C- or higher in all major requirements
  5. Prior to enrolling in first graduate course, completed 90 or more credit hours that apply to the ACCT undergraduate degree with grades of C- or higher in all major requirements completed
  6. Two faculty endorsements submitted by:
    1. Student’s faculty advisor
    2. Another full-time faculty member in the ABM discipline

Deadlines

  • To begin taking graduate course in summer or fall semesters: February 1
  • To begin taking graduate courses in the spring semester: September 1

  1. Students may take courses beyond the minimum required courses for their major, but no more than 6 credit hours of graduate courses per semester
  2. Students must be concurrently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of undergraduate courses
  1. Must receive a B- or better in graduate courses in order for the class to count toward a master’s degree (Courses with a grade lower than B- will need to be repeated in the master’s program)
