Childhood Studies, BA
|
|
Return to: Majors, Minors and Certificates by Department
This degree includes General Education (37 hours), and 36 hours in the Childhood Studies Major. This major pairs well with other BA programs for students who would like to earn a dual degree.
Students seeking this major have a passion for working with children and adolescents. This course of study prepares candidates for career opportunities in early childhood and child services. This degree does NOT lead to teacher certification.
Students seeking teacher certification cannot double Major with Childhood Studies as many of the courses in this major overlap with the courses required for teacher certification; however, if students seeking teacher certification are not eligible for TEACH due to GPA or not admitted or are dismissed from TEACH would change to this major.
Students must have a 2.5 GPA to graduate and must have a C or better in all courses.
