Certificate in Cyber Security is available to all Computer Information Systems and Security (CISS) programs. Must earn grades of C- or higher in all of the Computer Information Systems and Security (CISS) core courses and in twelve credit hours of additional cyber security courses, as indicated below. Also available to non-CISS majors, particularly those already pursuing a minor in CISS who take an additional 18 hours to earn the certificate.

The CISS curriculum has been approved by the NSA as part of OLLU’s designation as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Security Education (CAE).

CISS Core: 30 credit hours

CISS 1310 - Current Concepts of Information and Computer Technology 3 hrs
CISS 1315 - Computer Programming Logic and Design 3 hrs
CISS 1341 - Current Concepts of Computer Hardware 3 hrs
CISS 1342 - Current Concepts of Operating Systems 3 hrs
CISS 2310 - Computer Programming I 3 hrs
CISS 2350 - Networking Technology 3 hrs
CISS 3330 - Database Analysis and Design 3 hrs
CISS 3331 - Information Systems Analysis and Design 3 hrs
CISS 3355 - Networking Design and Implementation 3 hrs
CISS 4360 - Systems Project 3 hrs
