In-depth examination of child development including both normal and exceptional development; specifically the cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional developmental domains of the child from the prenatal period to early adolescence. Exploration of theoretical frameworks, current research, and application as well as examination of effects of varying environmental and cultural backgrounds on child growth and development.
