EDUC 6392 - Place Based Learning: Project ACORN 3 hour(s)
Exploration of Place based learning, connecting learning to communities and the world around us. Components of Nature, Culture and Conservation, and Science concepts such as biodiversity, soil, and native pollinator plants will be embedded into the course. Field trips to area gardens and campus visits serve as the basis for developing an implementation plan that is specific to the campus and includes building a support team and identifying sources of funding including grant writing.
