MUSI 3319 - Sacred Music Literature 3 hour(s) Survey study of sacred choral and instrumental musical works used in worship by Christian and Jewish sects and denominations from all musical periods. In a graduate school preparatory environment, students employ score study, listening analysis and style analysis skills to research and give presentations on sacred music genres, including standard hymnody, contemporary praise, Southwest Texas and Mexican American repertoire. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Is this course repeatable for credit? Yes Prerequisite: MUSI 3303 , MUSI 3309 or consent of the instructor. Offered: As Needed.
