SOCI 3333 - Crime and Punishment 3 hour(s) This course explores central sociological concepts of deviance, social order, and social power and the exertion of these forces on racial and ethnic minorities and immigrants. Tough in depth discussions and written assignments, students will explore these important issues in contemporary America from a variety of different disciplinary perspectives. Students will explore the impact of mass imprisonment on individuals and society, e.g. political engagement, life course, employment, wages, etc. Grading Basis: Letter Grade Is this course repeatable for credit?
