SPED 5343 - Law and Contemporary Issues in Special Education 3 hour(s) Significant historical and current issues in special education services including the inclusive model with families and other professionals; multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) federal and state laws and legal issues, professional practices and ethics. Topics include: confidentiality, identification, assessment and monitoring, behavioral interventions, related services, assistive technology, service agencies, and IEP development.
