MGMT 8363 - Optimization in Supply Chain

Supply chain management means using policies that optimize crucial decisions in various functions such as: inventory, production, distribution, procurement, and transportation. Supply chain managers use operations research models or optimization techniques to optimize decisions. This course introduces optimization models to tackle different supply chain management problems. The topics include: linear programming, integer programming, non-linear optimization, and multi-criteria decision making. The course contains real problems focusing on transportation, production, inventory, marketing, customer relationship management, and supplier selection.
